Q: I have many options for enhancing my school’s physical education program. What makes VCycling unique?
A: VCycling makes physical education fun, competitive (if desired), and very interactive. Many children are energized by interacting with video games and VCycling brings that interaction into the realm of real exercise.
Q: Does VCycling make it easy to involve children of all ages?
A: Maybe the biggest differentiator is that it is truly accessible to children independent of their build, physical condition, etc.(usually first grade through seniors).
Q: Can VCycling work within my budget?
A: VCycling can work with almost any budget. You can buy one or more units, 6 or more is preferable for full enjoyment.
Q: What kind of facility or equipment are required to offer VCycling?
A: No special equipment is necessary, electricity is necessary and an internet connection is helpful.
Q. Can children compete “live” with each other?
A. Absolutely, they can compete with children in the same room or in other places using the internet. They can also compete with theirs or anyone else’s recorded rides. |
Q: I already have my PEP Grant Funding. How can I propose a change in how our school uses our funding?
A: Each PEP Grant recipient has a Federal Government Grant Monitor. The project director would have to contact his/her grant monitor and request a change in the budget or features of his/her school's narrative. They would have to show with reasonable assurance that the budgetary and/or feature change is beneficial (or) more beneficial to the progress of their physical education needs and/or curriculum! We can refer you to others who have made changes after being awarded their grants.
Q: Why should I consider changing how our school uses our funding?
A: Every student, staff, and community member can use what you have to offer. One of VCylcing’s school districts responded “With a rock climbing wall, a very limited percentage of students would have been serviced within our curriculum needs! If we had a separate, sub-gymnasium, a rock climbing wall would have been great as an "extra", but, thank god I did my research to find you!...Please have anyone talk to me about the virtue and intelligence of this decision...it has matured into a no-brainer for our purposes!” Mike Cillo / Jeannette Brelsford, Montoursville Schools, Montoursville, PA.
Q: Is there someone that could help guide our school through this process?
A: Mike and Jeannette are interested in helping others experience this “New Fitness Experience for all Generations.” Contact us for more information.
